I am a Chief Medical Director, TedX Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Medical consultant for school districts and a Spokesperson for American Academy of Pediatrics.

As Chief Medical Director of Los Angeles Unified School District, I lead all the medical services of the District. I provided leadership for health emergency preparedness and response through the COVID-19 pandemic. While supervising the COVID testing and vaccination program for 500,000 students and 75,000 employees, I helped to lead the efforts to reopen schools and keep over 1700 schools safe and open throughout the pandemic. In addition, I led the efforts to bring Narcan (naloxone) to all K-12 schools in response to the Fentanyl crisis.

Prior to joining Los Angeles Unified, I have had over a decade of experience in pediatrics including being the director of a newborn nursery and being the co-founder of a program to build resilience in children experiencing trauma for Los Angeles County. In 2014, I started a private practice where I helped heal the whole child and family by combining traditional medicine with alternative therapies such as mindfulness, meditation, acupuncture and yoga. I brought these same principles into my work with children throughout Los Angeles county-helping them build resilience and heal from childhood traumas.

Many people are often surprised to hear that I have also been a wedding photographer, photographing weddings throughout the US and around the world.

My career journey has been unconventional, non-linear and brought me to exactly where I am supposed to be today.

I have contributed to the Washington Post, HuffPost, LA Times and have been interviewed on CNN, NPR and several other media outlets.

My first book, "The Newborn Handbook" was published in August 2020. This book gently guides new parents and caregivers through the first three months with a newborn.

I am a dynamic speaker and am able to speak about:
